FAQ – Printing

Frequently Asked Questions about full color printing

1. What is a print ready file?

A print ready file is an electronic file ready for print. It has been generated in a graphics program, such as Photoshop, and then exported into a 300 dpi CMYK Jpeg or Zip file. For sample templates and video tutorials on how to do this, please visit the File Help section. Please note that some programs are not capable of generating 300 dpi files. You will see a difference in print quality if the necessary steps are not taken.

2. Do you only serve only the New York TriState Area?

We can ship nationwide.

3. What is the total turnaround time for my order?

We need 3-4 for printing and about 2-4 days for shipping, depending upon your location.

4. Can I send you a check or pay you in cash?

Yes you can. Only if you can come to our office in person. For checks, no work can be started until the check clears.

5. Can you color match my business cards to the exact color of my wallpaper?

While we can agree with the idea of color coordination, colors in gang run printing may vary up to 10%. These cards are not for the color critical jobs. We do have color match services available. Please call us and we will find the product that is right for you.

6. What is CMYK?

CMYK is a color mode used for press printing. Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black are the 4 colors used in most high grade presses.

7. Can I split my payment up? Half now and half later?

No, all sales must be paid in full.

8. Can I send you a word file for my design?

You may send us a word file for an outline for the file we create, but you cannot bypass the design process with a word file. You must submit only print ready files.
